Who we are

Opikawa is an international summer camp network that brings together kids from around the world to enjoy the ultimate summer camp experience. In 2021, our Quebec summer camp is located right on the shore of a natural lake in the Tremblant area and is aimed at kids aged 8 to 16.

Lifeguard certification camp
For youth from 15 to 17 years old! During this 2-week program, in addition to doing camp activities, come and train from A to Z to become a lifeguard !

During this stay, children will learn the basics of summer camp animation. They will follow a national training program that meets the high demands of the camp environment.

Why choose us ?

SAFETY
Tremblant camp facilities and installations meet the highest standards for quality and security. Facilities and equipment are inspected frequently to make sure that everything is in perfect shape for your kid to enjoy safely. The camp is regularly visited by inspectors from the Ministry of Health and the Quebec Camp Association, and has always obtained top marks for its safe and nurturing environment.
TRANSPORT
Camp counsellors and staff are rigorously selected for their professionnalism and experience in childcare, and all are certified in first aid and resuscitation/CPR. For all activities outside of the main camp site, counsellors carry first aid kits and communication devices in order to insure they can get assistance if need be.
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
Transportation at Opikawa is insured by our exclusive van and driver. From the moment they step on the premises to the moment they come back home, your children will be in good hands at all time.
FOOD
The beach area is supervised by a certified lifeguard at all times. In all aquatic activities taking place outside the swimming area, children and counsellors wear lifejackets.
HEALTH AND MEDICATION
Opikawa’s menu is approved by a nutritionist and changes from week to week. Your children will enjoy fresh and nutritious meals made on-site in our kitchen by our experienced and child-friendly staff. Any allergies, intolerances, restrictions of specific dietary requirements are taken very seriously by our staff.
WATER SAFETY
Your child’s health and safety are our number one priority. Opikawa’s staff will handle the administration of your children’s medication with proper care, according to the information in the medical form. If need be, the closest hospital from Opikawa's Tremblant camp is only 20 minutes away.
PHOTO AND COMMUNICATION
If requested, all of your children's valuables (passport, pocket money, electronic devices) will be kept in Opikawa’s safe for the duration of your child's stay to ensure safety.
OPIKAWA’S WELLNESS REPRESENTATIVE

You and your child will be able to send each other messages via the camp’s email address during their stay at camp. Photos and videos will be shared frequently so you can follow all the fun activities your child is enjoying at Opikawa.

VALUABLE BELONGINGS
In addition to counsellors and other staff members, one of Opikawa’s employee is specifically in charge of insuring our campers’ wellbeing. This employee is the main resource should you have questions or worries during your child’s stay. They will handle the transport from the airport to camp and back, handle the distribution of emails, ensure frequent photo updates, and most importantly, they will make sure your child is having the time of his life
